On Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. the Administrative Commission of the Presbytery of Nevada gathered with the congregation of St. John’s Presbyterian Church and several members of the Presbytery to install the Reverend Dr. Helen Hutchison as Pastor.  The Installation Service was a true celebration of God’s faithfulness in calling Helen to St. John’s, and the exciting start of a new chapter for this wonderful congregation. 

Moderator Lynne Zenier welcomed everyone invited all to enter into a time of worship.  Commissioned Lay Pastor Elaine York, Stated Clerk Joan Jeffers and Chair of Trustees Ray Bledsoe – all members of St. John’s – also participated in the Service. The Rev. Susan Taylor, was the preacher and presented words of inspiration and encouragement for both Rev. Hutchison and the congregation of St. John’s.  The Charge to the Pastor was presented by the Rev. Hilda Pecoraro, and the Charge to the Congregation was given by the Rev. Bob Kelley.

Following the Service, the celebration continued with an Ice Cream Social in the fellowship Hall. It was truly a memorable day for all who were able to attend.  Let us join in congratulating Helen and the members of St. John’s Presbyterian Church.  May God grant them a long, fruitful and rewarding ministry together, bearing witness to God’s faithfulness and redeeming grace in Reno and beyond.
