The Equipping Committee hosted a lovely luncheon for pastors in northern Nevada on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Spanish Springs Presbyterian Church.  Nine pastors and 3 elders enjoyed a delicious lunch of lasagna, salad, breadsticks and cookies.  The tables were decorated with fresh flowers and colors that reflected the springtime theme.  

Elder Ron Scovill, member of Equipping welcomed the pastors on behalf of Chairperson DeLois Basnett who was unable to attend as she is recovering from surgery.  After the warm welcome, introductions and a prayer from the Rev. Pat Mecham, we enjoyed great fellowship and lunch around the table.  After lunch, Presbytery Pastor Hilda Pecoraro led a devotional and invited a time of sharing how God is at work in our lives and ministries.  Pastors then shared updates, announcements and prayer concerns; as well as how churches might receive support from the Equipping Committee/Presbytery.   

A special thanks to the Rev. Pat Mecham for being our host pastor and to Deacons Pat and Tom Mullett who opened the church and assisted with set-up and clean-up.  What gracious hosts!  We also thank Anne Sigurdsonand Elaine York for providing the delicious lunch and to DeLois Basnett for making all the arrangements and preparing the programs.
