Notes and news from our Presbytery Pastor
A collection of prayers written by pastors and members of Nevada Presbytery in response to the October 1 mass shooting in Las Vegas.
Enough blood has been spilled. We affirm that through good organizational effort, animated by the passion for justice that comes to the people of God through the Holy Spirit, gun violence can be dramatically reduced.
This resource on Emotional and Spiritual Care in Disaster is not intended to be one more training manual or another “how to” book for disaster response. Our intention is to encourage standards of best practice for all of us, whether we care for children, give spiritual counsel, help survivors sort through the remains of their home, or answer phones at a call-in center.
We know that there will be pain and tragedy and despair. But we also know Jesus can overcome all of that. So please join me in believing in Jesus. Please join me in holding up that belief for all those who can’t quite have that faith right now.
God of our life, whose presence sustains us in every circumstance, As the sound of gunfire again echoes over another American city,….
A service and worship materials for services after public violence.
