Tahoe Installation

LakeTahoeCommunityPresbyterianChurchKelley

After a long and thorough search, Nevada Presbytery and the congregation of Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church gathered on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. for the Presbytery’s Service of Installation for their newly called pastor, the Reverend Robert “Bob” Kelley.  There was a great spirit of rejoicing and gratitude to God as members of the congregation, elders from the Presbytery of Nevada and friends from other churches joined in worship and celebration.   With music and prayer, the laying on of hands and the proclamation of the Word, the Administrative Commission of the Presbytery installed Rev. Kelley and charged him to serve faithfully and lovingly as pastor of this wonderful congregation, equipping the saints for the building up of the church.

As Rev. Kelley gave the Benediction, the strains of bagpipes sounded, and Ryan McKenzie led out the participants in the service with a stirring recessional.  All who were able continued the celebration with a lovely reception prepared by members of the congregation.

Let us join in congratulating Bob, his wife Margie and the members of Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church.  May God grant them a long and fruitful ministry together, shining the light of God’s love in the Lake Tahoe community and beyond.
